The Superstar of Split: Supetar

A Little Bit About Supetar

Supetar is the main town on Brač and where the ferry from Split arrives.

It’s a small, charming place with a mix of old-world Mediterranean charm and just enough modern touches to make things comfortable. There’s a lovely waterfront promenade lined with cafes, and the old town has cobbled streets, little squares, and traditional stone houses.

Historically, Brač is known for its famous white limestone, which was used in buildings like Diocletian’s Palace in Split and even parts of the White House in Washington, D.C. You can still see evidence of the island’s stone-cutting heritage throughout Supetar.
