2 days, 1 night and a VERY full heart
Just when I thought Vietnam couldn’t get any more magical, Sapa came along and totally stole my heart. Honestly, if there's one thing that keeps getting better, it's the jaw-dropping experiences this country serves up.
Two incredible days trekking through Buffalo Valley with our phenomenal guide, Cha, where we got to experience the REAL Vietnam away from hordes of tourists and carrier buses.
This truly was the path less traveled. 24 km of tourist-free (minus me and Jim), blue skies, undulating rice terraces, and fresh, fresh air.
Cha was the most beautiful guide, who was so open to sharing her story and what life is like for the Hmong People of the Village we were visiting. With her knowledge and generosity, Cha introduced us to local families who welcomed us into their homes, prepared food for us, and encouraged a healthy dose of happy water…
